Coming Up This Weekend!

It’s Wailuku Town’s First Friday, this Friday December 2nd from 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm on Market Street in Wailuku.  This Friday there will be a Christmas Parade featuring Santa!  Other special features include a photo booth, art show, live music, crafts and great food!  You can view all the events and guests performing via the Maui Fridays website.

Friday December 2nd and Saturday December 3rd Oregon State hosts the Maui Jim Maui Classic Basketball tournament.  Joining Oregon State will be University of Nevada Las Vegas, University of Idaho, and Brigham Young University. This event will take place at the War Memorial Gymnasium.  Two games will be played each day.  There will also be live entertainment, food trucks, and a slam dunk performance at the end of each day.  Ticket available to purchase at $10.00 a day. On Sunday December 4th, the Grand Wailea will be having their annual tree lighting ceremony.  Enjoy more then 8 miles of lights along the driveway leading to the Grand Wailea.  Beginning at 5:00 pm refreshments will be served and at 5:30 pm the tree lighting ceremony will take place.  You can view the activities available at the Grand Wailea here.

This Weekend’s Events

Happening this weekend from Thursday October 6th through Sunday October 9th the 94th Annual Maui Fair! The Maui Fair funds many non-profit and community organizations.  Approximately 100,000 people are expected to attend. Some of the attractions you can expect this year include rides, chili cook off, baby of the year contest, livestock and student art exhibit, and of course the Maui Parade.  The Parade will kick off the fair on Thursday at 4:30 pm beginning at the UH Maui College Campus.  The Maui Fair website has all the information on this years event.

This Friday October 7th is Wailuku Town’s First Friday!  This free event will run from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm with Market Street closing at 5:30 pm.  Enjoy live music, food vendors, jewelry and fashion from local artisans.  Free parking available at Maui Medical Group parking lot.  For more information on this event including vendors and performers attending, visit Maui Fridays website here.

On Saturday October 8th, Montessori School of Maui is hosting its Taste Of Upcountry event from 6:00 pm to 10:00pm.  Amazing Maui chefs will be featured along with cocktails, wine, and both a live and silent auction.  All proceeds for this event will benefit the Montessori School of Maui. These funds will benefit students, teachers, help with maintenance, and tuition assistance for students.  Ticket pricing varies.  More information is available here.

Events Happening This Weekend

Wailuku Town’s First Friday is taking place this Friday September 2nd from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  Streets will close at 5:30 pm.  This free festival offers live music on two stages, food vendors, fashion, and a beer garden.  To view more information on this event including food vendors and performances, visit the Maui Fridays website here.

On Saturday September 3rd from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm, come shopping at the Maui Swap Meet!  Located at the University of Hawaii-Maui College, this free event is a great place to find home made and unique items.  Entry fee is only .50 cents!  Information including how to become a vendor is available here.

Sunday September 4th at the Castle Theater starting at 7:30, Pink Martini Orchestra featuring China Forbes will be performing.  Classical, jazz, and pop musical inspiration styles will be enjoyed!  Pink Martini has toured the world for over 20 years!  Ticket pricing varies, and pre-show dinner options are available.  View more information via the Maui Arts website.

What’s Happening This Weekend!

It’s First Friday in Wailuku on February 5th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  Market Street closure will begin at 5:30 pm. Happening both on Friday February 5th and Saturday February 6th at the Grand Wailea, the Celebrity Chef Tour benefitting James Beard Foundation.  Friday features a cocktail reception from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  Saturday will be the Celebrity Chef Dinner from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  Tickets available for each individual event, or you may purchase a weekend pass for both nights.  The Grand Wailea website has more information here.

Watch The Super Bowl on Sunday February 7th at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center.  Admission is free!  The gates will open at 12:00 pm.  Food trucks will be on site to sell food before and during the game including pulled pork sliders, hot dogs, taquitos and nachos among other things.  Beverages available to purchase in the courtyard.  Maui Arts website has a full list of food that will be available as well as more information.

Events This Weekend

This Friday December 4th, it’s First Friday in Wailuku Town!  From 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Market St. in Wailuku come enjoy live musical entertainment, crafts from local artists, and some delicious food!  Free parking will be available.  This is the last First Friday for Wailuku in 2015 so come out and enjoy!  Check the Wailuku First Friday Facebook page for more details.

On Saturday December 5th starting at 6:00 pm, Molokai Island Foundation will be hosting the “Christmas Parade of Lights”.  The Parade will begin at Fish and Dive and ends at Kaunakakai Baseball park.  Prizes will be given for lighted floats and marching units.  For more information on this event, visit the Molokai Island Foundation website here.

Our annual Hansen Ohana Toy Drive is happening NOW!  We ask that you please help the 1,600 children in need of gifts this year.  Unwrapped gifts may be dropped off at our office The Wailea Town Center, Suite A-106.  If you are unable to drop off a gift, we will be happy to make arrangements for pick up.  Your continued support of this event is greatly appreciated!  Mahalo!
