Saturday March 9th at the McCoy Studio Theater one-man band Tavana will be performing. Tavana comes from Honolulu and uses electronic drum triggers with his feet to accompany him on not only the guitar, but the banjo, ukulele, and lap steel. All this while singing island inspired rock and blues music.
Nominated for Best Contemporary Album in 2017 at the Na Hoku Hanohhano Awards, he just finished touring in Canada, Japan, and the Mainland. He has previously been a supporting act for such musicians at Shakey Graves and Alabama Shakes. Tavana has also recorded with Eddie Vedder and Chris Chorney among others.
The show is scheduled to begin at 7:30. Entrees provided by A.K. Cafe available for purchase in the McCoy Courtyard (cash only preferred) starting at 5:30.
This Friday the 13th from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm Lahaina 2nd Friday will be taking place on Front Street. 5 blocks will be participating!
Campbell Park will have live music. Scheduled to perform from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm will be Maui Jim and from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm Micah Ganiron will take the stage. Surfside Pizza will be celebrating their Grand Opening with live music and of course pizza!

This Friday December 4th, it’s First Friday in Wailuku Town! From 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Market St. in Wailuku come enjoy live musical entertainment, crafts from local artists, and some delicious food! Free parking will be available. On Saturday December 5th starting at 6:00 pm, Molokai Island Foundation will be hosting the “Christmas Parade of Lights”. The Parade will begin at Fish and Dive and ends at Kaunakakai Baseball park. Our annual Hansen Ohana Toy Drive is happening NOW! We ask that you please help the 1,600 children in need of gifts this year. Mikaela Hansen, granddaughter of The Hansen Ohana’s Bob and Donna Hansen, used her love of music to write and perform a song for her college application to Western. The uniqueness of the video has spread across the various social media aspect of Western. Mikaela will be attending Western in the fall and hopes to incorporate music in some way no matter what career she decides on.
