Ukulele Festival

The 15th Annual Maui Ukulele Festival will be held on October 2nd. This is a free event from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center A&B Amphitheater. If you wish to participate in a free ukulele workshop, one will be held on October 1st at 11:00 am in MACC Morgado Hall.

Food and beverages will be available to purchase at the event. Low back chairs and blankets welcome!

The Nutcracker This Weekend

Maui Academy of Performing Arts presents The Nutcracker this Friday and Saturday December 20th and 21st. The performance Friday will be at 7:30 pm and the Saturday performance will be at 3:00 pm. Both shows will be held in the Castle Theatre.

Food options will be available from Vasi’s Gourmet Catering & Tropical Desserts. Cash only please. Menu items include lasagna, caesar salad, and crab cakes. Enjoy!

 

Starry Night Cinema Featuring Aladdin

This Friday, October 18th Maui Arts & Cultural Center will be having Starry Night Cinema featuring the movie Aladdin starring Will Smith!

Gates will open at 5:00 pm. Pre-show entertainment and art activities will be taking place before the show. Movie showtime is 6:30 pm. Food and beverages will be available for purchase onsite. Outside food and coolers are not allowed.

This event is a free viewing! Come enjoy!

Music Festival Happening This Weekend

The Republik Music Festival will be happening this weekend on both Friday and Saturday night. Gates at the A&B Amphitheater will open at 5:00 pm with the show starting at 6:00 pm.

The line up for Friday night includes Steel Pulse, Trevor Hall, and the Original Wailers. Saturday the lineup includes Tribal Seeds, Matisyahu, and Groundation.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase on both nights. Tickets vary in price. A discount may be available if purchasing tickets for both nights.

Paul Simon Next Week!

Paul Simon will be performing next week at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center on Tuesday, August 13th and Wednesday, August 14th. Show time is scheduled for 7:30 pm.

Simon and his own unique sound of folk rock has earned 16 grammys. His bio includes singer, songwriter, and actor. Simon was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006. He was named in 2011 by Rolling Stone magazine as one of top 100 greatest guitarists and again by Rolling Stone in 2015 as one of the top 100 greatest songwriters.

After the breakup of former duo Simon & Garfunkel, Paul Simon went solo starting in 1971. Some of his greatest hits include Something So Right, 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover, Peace Like a River plus many more.
