Annual Hyundai Tournament of Champions

The annual Hyundai Tournament of Champions will be happening at Kapalua Golf on Maui January 5th through January 12th.  Tickets are on sale now!  Ticket purchases can be made online or at the gate.

The Kapalua Golf amenities include not only the award winning Plantation Course,  but superior lodging and dining options are also available.  Pacific Island cuisine can be enjoyed at the Pineapple Grill.  Those wanting a more Hawaiian Mediterranean cuisine,  The Plantation House offers fine dining as well as spectacular sunset views.  A variety of lodging as well as golf packages are also offered at Kapalua.  Check their website here for options and information.

During the tournament, the Fan Zone on Fairway 1 is open to the public.  Test drive a Hyundai vehicle or check your swing in the swing cage with golf professionals.  If you travel to the 19th hole, Grey Goose will be serving signature drinks for those over 21 years of age.  Information for events, tee times, tickets, etc. can all be found on the PGA Tournament site.

Year End Deadlines

For Homeowners on Maui and Hawaii counties, the deadline to file for home exemption is December 31.  If you miss the deadline you will have to wait until the next fiscal year to file.  More information and forms can be found on County websites.  For Maui, Real Property Tax Division and for Hawaii, Real Property Tax Division.

With the year-end scramble upon us right after the holiday season, it’s no surprise that many people feel stressed and unorganized.  The start of a new year is a great time to get organized, tidy up paperwork, and start preparation for tax season.  Need help getting started? The Hansen Ohana Annual Toy Drive

Dear Friends, Family, and Colleagues:

The Holiday Season is once again upon us. The Hansen Ohana is having their annual Toy Drive!

Toys and monetary donations help serve the Friends of The Children’s Justice Center. Donations go directly to children in need. With your kind donations, Friends of the Children’s Justice Center provide over 1,600 holiday gifts each season to children, many under foster care, children of Women Helping Women, etc.  For many children, this will be the only gift they receive for the holidays. Your donations will make a difference.

Donations can be made at our office during normal business hours at The Town Center Suite, 161 Wailea Ike Place, Suite A-106 in Wailea next to Matteo’s Osteria Restaurant or call and we will be more than happy to pick it up.

Help Repair Sugar Cane Train

Residents and businesses can help the Maui Sugar Cane Train be up and running again in the next year.   Fundrasing will be held to repair and refurbish some of the older train cars.  Those who take on this task have the opportunity to get their names on the new train cars.

Craig Hill is the new owner of the train and a 30 year Maui resident.  Many were disappointed when the train went out of business.  Hill is committed to seeing the landmark train return to service.  This is an opportunity for people to get involved and give back to the community.
