Wailuku First Friday Tomorrow

Tomorrow, Friday June 1st starting at 6:00 pm its Wailuku First Friday! This free event will take place on Market Street. Market Street will close at 5:30 pm. Maui Medical Group offers free parking for this event.

At this family friendly event, you can expect live music and entertainment. Also on hand will be classic cars, and works from Maui photographer Drew Sulock. Some good eats from Gianotto’s Pizza, 808 On Main, Saigon Cafe, Wailuku Coffee Co., among many others!

Former Teammates To Face Off At College World Series

Former softball teammates Nawai Kaupe and Jocelyn Alo will face-off against each other in the opening round of the College World Series in Oklahoma starting this Thursday May 31st.

Kaupe is a member of the Washington Huskies softball team and Alo a member of the Oklahoma Sooners softball team. The two former teammates of Team Titans have not played together since the New City Nissan softball classic a year ago.

Kaupe and the Washington Huskies will be representing the Pac-12 conference while Alo and the Oklahoma Sooners will represent the Big-12 conference. Both will represent the entire state of Hawaii! Congratulations on your success and good luck in the World Series!

Blossoms For The Brave

There will be a community lei making event this Friday on the county building front lawn starting at 9:00 am and ending at 12:00 pm. The goal is to make more than 2,870 leis to place on the graves of the Maui Veterans on Memorial Day.

A free shuttle bus will be available starting pick up at 8:30 am from the Ichiro Maehara Baseball Stadium. Last shuttle drop off will be at 12:30 pm. Live music provided by Kevin Kanemoto & Friends and Kathy Collins will be hosting throughout.

Anyone able to make flower donations, please drop them off after 7:30 am Friday at the South High Street Parking Lot. Other materials that are needed include green ti leaves, crown flowers, orchids, bozu flowers, plumeria, bougainvillea flowers, and other flowers study enough to be sewn.
