Coming Up This Weekend

Friday December 18th is Makawao Third Friday Town Party.  This is a great opportunity to come out and meet local merchants and explore the town of Makawao.  The theme for this Friday will be It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas.  Music will be playing on the main stage, and Christmas Caroling will take place from 7:30 pm to 8:00 pm.  Santa will be making a special visit starting at 6:30 pm in front of Droplets.  More information available on the Maui Fridays Website.

Go Green recycle event takes place every third Saturday of the month til June 2016.  This Saturday, come recycle at no charge!  From 8:00 am to 12:00 pm at Lahaina Cannery Mall, recycle bins will be set up for electronics, dvd’s, batteries, appliance, cell phones, computers and more.  No money will be paid out for items.  Volunteers are appreciated for this event.

Hawaii Ballroom Dance Association will be hosting a Christmas Ball this Saturday December 19 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.  Ticket pricing will go up starting on Thursday.  Maui Beach Hotel will be hosting this event in the Elleair Ballroom.  Contact information for this event can be found via the Hawaii Ballroom Dance Association facebook page here.

Your Weekend Activities

On Friday December 11th from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm Sugar Beach Events presents Eric Gilliom in Tiki Holiday.  This holiday musical features a tropical twist!  Tickets available for purchase may include the buffet dinner, or just come for the show.  The show will incorporate some of your  holiday favorites as well as some festive Tiki Time tunes.  This event is a fun event suitable for the entire family.  Information for ticket purchase can be found on the Swinging Tiki Time website.

Holiday Craft Fair and Bake Sale will be held at Roselani Place in Kahului on Saturday December 12th from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.  Enjoy some holiday shopping with unique gifts created by local Maui artisans.  Jewelry, baked goods, holiday wreaths, and other items will all be available for purchase.  Visit the Roselani Place website here for more information.

Komoni Dance Works will be hosting their second annual dance off, The Mix 2015, on Sunday December 13th from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.  Students, instructors, and crew will show off their talented dance moves in a variety of dance styles.  Ticket prices vary and are available to purchase via the Maui Arts and Cultural Center website.  The event will be held in the McCoy Studio Theater.

AREAA Conference San Francisco

A few weeks ago, Bob and Donna Hansen of The Hansen Ohana, attended the AREAA 2015 National Convention in San Francisco.  The convention was held at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco and was attended by approximately 1200 realtors.  Bob Hansen was recognized and awarded as one of the Top Realtors in the entire AREAA membership.IMG_3706

During the trip, AREAA attendees went wine tasting in beautiful Napa Valley.  The caves at Barringer and Beauleau Vineyards were a wonderful sight to see.  A trip and tour of historic Saint Helena was also on the agenda!

Events This Weekend

This Friday December 4th, it’s First Friday in Wailuku Town!  From 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Market St. in Wailuku come enjoy live musical entertainment, crafts from local artists, and some delicious food!  Free parking will be available.  This is the last First Friday for Wailuku in 2015 so come out and enjoy!  Check the Wailuku First Friday Facebook page for more details.

On Saturday December 5th starting at 6:00 pm, Molokai Island Foundation will be hosting the “Christmas Parade of Lights”.  The Parade will begin at Fish and Dive and ends at Kaunakakai Baseball park.  Prizes will be given for lighted floats and marching units.  For more information on this event, visit the Molokai Island Foundation website here.

Our annual Hansen Ohana Toy Drive is happening NOW!  We ask that you please help the 1,600 children in need of gifts this year.  Unwrapped gifts may be dropped off at our office The Wailea Town Center, Suite A-106.  If you are unable to drop off a gift, we will be happy to make arrangements for pick up.  Your continued support of this event is greatly appreciated!  Mahalo!

Coming Up This Weekend

Saturday November 21st from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm the Kula School Harvest Festival is taking place.  This is a wonderful family event!  Come enjoy live entertainment, pony rides, games, as well as a silent auction and fresh delicious food!  This is Kula Elementary’s annual fundraiser to help provide funds for enrichment programs for the students.  Information regarding the festival is available on the Kula Harvest Festival site.

Also happening on Saturday November 21, Stunt Fest Maui!  Nick Apex will show off his phenomenal stunting skills at this motorcycle stunt show happening from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at 150 Dairy Rd. Kahului.  This free event will also have music, food, and free giveaways!  Please bring a gift for the Toys For Tots drive that will be happening at the event.

Maui Nui Farm Farmers Market will be held Sunday November 22nd from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.  The 40 acre farm grows such crops as avocados, zucchini, squash, lettuce, as well as different types of flowers.  Great day to come to the farm and stock up on produce! Thai food as well as local favorites available at the Maui Nui Garden kitchen.
