Friday April 15th from 10:00 am to 11:00 pm the 8th Annual Steel Guitar Festival will be taking place at the Ka’anapali Beach Hotel. This event is a free event open to the public! This will be the largest showcase of talent year to date. Scheduled to perform are Nathan Aweau, Maunalua, Mailani, and Ledward Kaapana. From 9:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday April 16th, the Maui Horse Show Association will be sponsoring the Western Horse Show at Piholo Ranch. Maui Gypsy Food Truck will be providing refreshments. Also beginning on Saturday April 16th, Brian Walks Maui will be starting. Brian Sato is walking the entire perimeter of Maui in 8 days concluding on April 23rd in the hopes to raise $5000 dollars for non-profit therapeutic programs. Friday January 15th The Soul Kitchen Maui Big Band will be playing at Mulligans On The Blue in Wailea. If you want good seats, dinner reservations are recommended. There is a $10.00 cover charge at the door. Come enjoy a mixture of originals and cool covers! More information available on the Mulligans on the Blue website.
On Saturday January 12th from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm University of Hawaii-Maui College Parking Lot will be hosting the weekly Swap Meet! Over 200 vendors will be selling everything from fresh produce, jewelry, apparel, and more! Entrance is only $0.50 and children 12 and under are free! Information for anyone interested in becoming a vendor available here.
Sunday January 13th come support the Pacific Whale Foundation by helping clean up weeds at Haleakala National Park from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm. Transportation is provided for those who volunteer. Anyone who contributes 3 or more hours will receive a free tote bag. Reserve you spot! Check the Pacific Whale Foundation website for more information.
The Hansen Ohana are actively involved in the Community. In December they host a toy drive for the Friends of Children’s Justice Center and they volunteer on various Boards including Na Hale O Maui.
