Chinese New Year 2016 is the Year Of The Monkey. Chinese New Year is celebrated with friends and family gathering together to enjoy a feast. Fireworks are a normal part of the celebration and decorations are predominantly done in red. The monkey is the 9th sign in the 12 sign zodiac cycle. The next time for this zodiac sign will not be until 2028.
A free all day (10:00 am to 7:00 pm) celebration will be held on Friday February 12th in Lahaina at the Wo Hing Museum on Front St. Ring in the Year Of The Monkey with kids crafts, fireworks, music, and a traditional lion dance.

Watch The Super Bowl on Sunday February 7th at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. Admission is free! The gates will open at 12:00 pm. Food trucks will be on site to sell food before and during the game including pulled pork sliders, hot dogs, taquitos and nachos among other things. Beverages available to purchase in the courtyard.
