Jazz Tonight At The Shops At Wailea

Husband and wife team Phil and Angela Benoit will be performing tonight at The Shops At Wailea. Both Phil and Angela were born into musical families. Angela is from Paia and Phil from Southern California.

Angela began singing professional in the 90’s and found her niche with jazz. Phil has been playing guitar since his teen years. Most of Phil’s music has been self taught.

Together Phil and Angela have released three award nominated albums together. Come enjoy their musical talents tonight at The Shops At Wailea from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

51 Day Strike Comes To An End

Workers from 5 different hotels throughout Hawaii celebrated Tuesday afternoon when an agreement was finally reached between UNITE HERE Local 5 union and Kro-ya owners of hotels that are operated by Marriott.

More then 300 workers have been on strike from the Sheraton Maui beginning October 8th. Some workers have been employed by the hotel for almost 40 years. A 4 year agreement that included wage and benefit increases are part of the rumored agreement. No official contact specifics have been released.

Employees are eager and excited to be able to return back to work.

Reminder! The Hansen Ohana is having their annual Toy Drive! It’s not too late to donate!

Toys and monetary donations help serve the Friends of The Children’s Justice Center. Donations go directly to children in need. With your kind donations, Friends of the Children’s Justice Center provide over 1,600 holiday gifts each season to children, many under foster care, children of Women Helping Women, etc.  For many children, this will be the only gift they receive for the holidays. Your donations will make a difference.

Donations can be made at our office during normal business hours at The Town Center Suite, 161 Wailea Ike Place, Suite A-106 in Wailea next to Matteo’s Osteria Restaurant or call and we will be more than happy to pick it up.
