Maui Paintball Food Drive Today!

The Hansen Ohana are actively involved in the Community.  In December they host a toy drive for the Friends of Children’s Justice Center and they volunteer on various Boards including Na Hale O Maui.  Today Maui Paintball, owned by Clint Hansen, is having a Food Drive.  Drop by and try out paintball (see details for raffles and prizes) or just drop off a donation.  Mahalo for your support.

Maui FIlm Festival

Maui Film Festival starts  today June 12th and runs through June 16th in Wailea at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center.  Passes for the event are available starting at $44 dollars.  Feature films as well as short films will be viewable at the event. Maui Tourism Exploding

So far this year, an estimated 200,000 visitors have come to Maui each month. On average we have welcomed 23,000 visitors daily.  The revenue generated from tourism has supported an additional 3,000 jobs.  During the first four months of 2013, visitor spending was an estimated  $1.4 billion dollars.  Travlers from international countries has increased helping with the explosion.  Tourist from New Zealand, China, and Australia have  shown a double digit  increase.  Maui has been hard at work on increasing the diversity of travelers visiting the island. Wailea Restaurant Week

Have your appetite and taste buds ready!  Restaurant Week Wailea starts Sunday May 26th through Saturday June 1st.  19 resort restaurants are participating in the event.  Each restaurant that participates makes a contribution to the Maui Food Bank.  Some of the menus offered have fixed prices for delicious three course meals.  You can view the menus available and read more about the event here.
