Tomorrow, Saturday April 7th, from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm is the 11th annual Maui Agriculture Festival. The festival is being held at the Maui Tropical Plantation. Admission is $5 dollars at the door.
This event goes all out! Not only is awareness raised about Maui Agriculture, but there will be delicious food booths, a farmers market with demonstrations, and a keiki zone. The keiki zone will have pony rides and barnyard games along with live entertainment.
This is a great way to spend your Saturday all while showing support for Maui’s Agriculture!
Tonight January 12th starting at 5:30 pm the Hawaii Farmers Union United is hosting a potluck at Maui Topical Plantation. There is no fee to attend, however please bring a dish to share. Featured farmers will be on hand to discuss biodynamic farming techniques. If your unable to attend, there are other opportunities available to get involved. This Friday January 13th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm is Lahaina Town Friday party! Come join in the fun with music performed by Maui Jam and line dancing from Keoni’s Dance Studio. Several keiki nonprofits will be fundraising at this event in Campbell Park. Friday night is also Art Night in Lahaina. The Lahaina Visitors Center has information on participating galleries. Los Angeles based rock band, Young the Giant, will be performing Saturday January 14th at the Castle Theater starting at 7:30 pm. Formally known as The Jakes, Young the Giant has had numerous top ten hits since their debut album in 2010. Food vendor items will be available for purchase. On Friday August 12th, Reggae Summersplash will be happening at the Hard Rock Cafe in Lahaina from 9:00 pm to 2:00 am. Enjoy music from Lambsbread & The Next Generation Band, Maui’s Gomega, and also DJ Boomshot. Cost for the event is $10.00. The 9th Annual Seed to Cup Coffee Festival will be on Saturday August 13th. This free event will run from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Maui Tropical Plantation in Wailuku. Coffee Brewing and Coffee Roasting demonstrations will be happening throughout the day. Enjoy free tasting of Maui’s award-winning coffee, coffee beer by Kohola Brewery, coffee braised beef tacos, as well as some other tasty coffee sampling. Sunday starting at 7:30 pm on August 14th is the Hawaii International Music Festival. The finest classical music will be featured with Hawaiian culture. This Friday June 24th is Art Night in Lahaina Town. Special gallery shows, artists in action, and refreshments all free of charge. The Lahaina Visitors Center has a map of participating galleries. This is a recurring event that takes place each week on Friday! Come enjoy from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
The Reggae Summit Hawaii tour will be taking place at The Maui Tropical Plantation on Saturday June 25th. Doors open at 4:00 pm. This is the summers biggest festival of the year. Keep the music vibe going on Sunday at the 25th annual Ki Hoalu Guitar Festival. Gates will open at 12:30 pm at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. Be prepared to hear some of the best slap key guitar players in all of Hawaii! This is a family friendly event. Bring your own chairs and blanket and enjoy the afternoon on the lawn! The Mill House restaurant is located at the Maui Tropical Plantation in Waikapu. The Mill House is open daily for lunch and dinner. Diners will be sure to enjoy the high quality ingredients harvested from the grounds of the plantation.
Executive Chef Jeff Scheer graduated from the Maui Culinary Academy in 2008. Prior to that he study and did apprentice in both California and Oahu. Growing all his ingredients on the plantation has enabled him to provide a truly unique dining experience that has earned him glowing reviews.
