This Friday January 6th is the first Friday of the New Year in Wailuku Town.  #1 recording artist Josh Tatofi will be debuting his new album!  This free event runs from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  Street closure begins at 5:30 pm.  Free parking is available at the Maui Medical Group lot.  Please bring any shoe donations you may have.  “If The Shoe Fits” shoe drive will be collecting donations for Big Brothers, Big Sisters.  Your support is greatly appreciated!  Information for this event available via the Maui Fridays website.

Come by the Maui Humane Society garage sale on Saturday January 7th from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.  Enjoy great deals on pet supplies and animal related products. Purchase a bag for $5.00 and fill it with as many supplies as possible!  Other items will be priced individually.  All proceeds from this event will benefit the Maui Human Society.  Visit their website for more information on this event and other events here.

Also on Saturday, Las Vegas favorite Rita Rudner will be performing at the McCoy Studio Theater at 7:30 pm.  Her shows have sold over 1.5 million tickets in the past 14 years.  Her show is the longest running solo comedy in the history of Las Vegas. Your Weekend Events!

Friday December 16th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm its Makawao 3rd Friday! This Friday come enjoy the street party and some holiday specials!  Halo salon will be offering $20 haircuts, Bootzie will be showing their new fall line with a discount for the evening, and Monkeypod Art Studio will be having craft activities in the kieki zone.  Music, food, and line dancing will also be happening throughout the evening.  For more information visit the Maui Fridays website.

Moonlit movies at Sugar Beach Events presents a free screening of ‘National Lampoons Christmas Vacation’ this Saturday December 17th!  Doors open at 6:00 pm and the movie will begin at 6:30 pm.  Popcorn, food, and drinks will be available for purchase.  Be sure to bring a beach chair and blanket! Rebelution-the Falling into Place Hawaii Tour-with special guests Pepper and New Kingston is this Sunday December 18th at the Yokouchi Pavillion & Courtyard.  Show starts at 6:00 pm and gates will open at 4:30 pm. The California reggae band has recorded 11 new tracks coming off their #1 Billboard Reggae hit Count Me In. Food items will also be available for purchase. Events March 4-March 6, 2016

Friday March 4th is band member Michael Elam of Soul Kitchen 64th Birthday Bash.  Come help him celebrate at Mulligan’s On The Blue!  Special guest Joel Katz will be accompanying Soul Kitchen on the Hawaiian steel guitar.   There will be no cover charge for this event. Festivities are scheduled to start at 7:00 pm.  Mulligans On The Blue has information on their website regarding this event as well as future events.

On Saturday March 5th Santana will be performing at the Maui Arts &  Cultural Center in Kahului.  Gates are scheduled to open at 5:30 pm.  Ticket pricing varies.  Santana’s unique musical style earned him the Billboard Latin Music Awards 2009 Lifetime Achievement Honor.  Santana is also on Rolling Stone’s top 100 greatest Guitarists of All Time.  More information available via the Maui Arts & Cultural Center webpage here.

Paia Mantokuji Soto Zen Mission is hosting it’s 39th Annual Bazaar from 7:00 am to 11:00 am on Sunday March 6th.  Traditional foods such as nishime, ohagi, and manju among others will be served.  Some delicious treats will be available as well!  Come and shop for bargains, local produce, and crafts.  Paia Mantokuji Mission is located across the street from the Paia Community Center.  Visit their website here to learn more.
