Friday March 4th is band member Michael Elam of Soul Kitchen 64th Birthday Bash.  Come help him celebrate at Mulligan’s On The Blue!  Special guest Joel Katz will be accompanying Soul Kitchen on the Hawaiian steel guitar.   There will be no cover charge for this event. On Saturday March 5th Santana will be performing at the Maui Arts &  Cultural Center in Kahului.  Gates are scheduled to open at 5:30 pm.  Ticket pricing varies.  Santana’s unique musical style earned him the Billboard Latin Music Awards 2009 Lifetime Achievement Honor.  Santana is also on Rolling Stone’s top 100 greatest Guitarists of All Time.  More information available via the Maui Arts & Cultural Center webpage here.

Paia Mantokuji Soto Zen Mission is hosting it’s 39th Annual Bazaar from 7:00 am to 11:00 am on Sunday March 6th.  Traditional foods such as nishime, ohagi, and manju among others will be served.  Some delicious treats will be available as well!  Come and shop for bargains, local produce, and crafts.  Paia Mantokuji Mission is located across the street from the Paia Community Center.  Visit their website here to learn more.
