Happening This Weekend….

This Friday June 24th is Art Night in Lahaina Town.  Special gallery shows, artists in action, and refreshments all free of charge.  The Lahaina Visitors Center has a map of participating galleries.  This is a recurring event that takes place each week on Friday!  Come enjoy from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

The Reggae Summit Hawaii tour will be taking place at The Maui Tropical Plantation on Saturday June 25th.  Doors open at 4:00 pm. Keep the music vibe going on Sunday at the 25th annual Ki Hoalu Guitar Festival.  Gates will open at 12:30 pm at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center.  Be prepared to hear some of the best slap key guitar players in all of Hawaii!  This is a family friendly event.  Bring your own chairs and blanket and enjoy the afternoon on the lawn!  For information on the confirmed line up, as well as the menu of available food items for purchase, visit the Maui Arts website here.

Events This Coming Weekend

Opening Night for Art Of Trash is this Friday April 8th starting at 6:00 pm at the Maui Mall Center Stage.  This annual three week exhibit showcases works of art made out of material most would consider trash.  Opening night will feature an awards ceremony and a “Trash-ion” fashion show.  Donations greatly appreciated.  More information available here.

Saturday April 9th at the Dunes at Maui Lani is the 28th annual Pundy Yokouchi Memorial Golf Tournament.  Check in begins at 6:00 am.  A fun day of golf, prizes, and delicious food will benefit the Maui Arts & Cultural Center programs.  Maui Arts & Cultural Center website has information on the event.

April 10 come to the Boomvanger’s Spring Gift Show at Pioneer Inn from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm to benefit the Lahaina Yacht Club.  Solve all your gift giving needs in one place and benefit a wonderful program! Jewelry, backed items, ceramic giftware, and many other items will be available for purchase.  To learn more about the Lahaina Yacht Club visit their webpage here.

What’s Happening This Weekend!

It’s First Friday in Wailuku on February 5th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  Market Street closure will begin at 5:30 pm. Come and enjoy food, live entertainment, specials at restaurants, and crafts from local artists.  Free parking is available at Maui Medical Group parking lot.  For more information on their event, please visit the Wailuku First Fridays website here.

Happening both on Friday February 5th and Saturday February 6th at the Grand Wailea, the Celebrity Chef Tour benefitting James Beard Foundation.  Friday features a cocktail reception from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  Saturday will be the Celebrity Chef Dinner from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  Tickets available for each individual event, or you may purchase a weekend pass for both nights.  The Grand Wailea website has more information here.

Watch The Super Bowl on Sunday February 7th at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center.  Admission is free!  The gates will open at 12:00 pm.  Food trucks will be on site to sell food before and during the game including pulled pork sliders, hot dogs, taquitos and nachos among other things.  Beverages available to purchase in the courtyard.  Maui Arts website has a full list of food that will be available as well as more information.

Your Weekend Activities

On Friday December 11th from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm Sugar Beach Events presents Eric Gilliom in Tiki Holiday.  This holiday musical features a tropical twist!  Tickets available for purchase may include the buffet dinner, or just come for the show.  The show will incorporate some of your  holiday favorites as well as some festive Tiki Time tunes.  This event is a fun event suitable for the entire family.  Information for ticket purchase can be found on the Swinging Tiki Time website.

Holiday Craft Fair and Bake Sale will be held at Roselani Place in Kahului on Saturday December 12th from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.  Enjoy some holiday shopping with unique gifts created by local Maui artisans.  Jewelry, baked goods, holiday wreaths, and other items will all be available for purchase.  Visit the Roselani Place website here for more information.

Komoni Dance Works will be hosting their second annual dance off, The Mix 2015, on Sunday December 13th from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.  Students, instructors, and crew will show off their talented dance moves in a variety of dance styles.  Ticket prices vary and are available to purchase via the Maui Arts and Cultural Center website.  The event will be held in the McCoy Studio Theater.

Whats Happening This Weekend

Kick off your weekend this Friday night October 16th for Lahaina Plantation Days Festival.  This event will be held at the Pioneer Mill Smokestack Exhibit, 277 Lahainaluna Road, Lahaina from 5:00 pm to 10:30 pm on both Friday and Saturday nights.  Admission is $5.00,  kids under 5 are free.  21 and older can enjoy the Beer Garden, while the kids can play the carnival style games for prizes.  Food, music, and a good time are sure to be had!  The Lahaina Restoration Organization has all the details for this event.

Sunday October 18th at Whole Foods Market from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm the Hawaii Animal Rescue Foundation will be having pet adoptions.  If you’re looking for your next pet this is a great place to find an adoptable animal.  The Hawaii Animal Rescue Foundation website has information for those wishing to volunteer as well as a list of donation items they could really use.  If your able to help in any way it is greatly appreciated!
