The beautiful 394 foot white yacht named “A” has been seen off the Maui shoreline this weekend. Owned by Russian billionaire Andrey Melnichenko the yacht is estimated to be worth over $300 million, has over 23,000 square feet of living space, and costs over $20 million a year to maintain. Makena Hotel Approved
Yesterday, Bob Hansen of the Hansen Ohana, attended the Maui Planning Commission hearing where they approved the Makena Hotel plan. The plan is to renovate the hotel from over 300 units to undo 50 much larger units. Units will sell from $1.9 million to $6 million. In addition, they will build a few beach homes to sell and a 76 unit hotel to rent.
