New Years Events!

Enjoy a pre New Years Eve Celebration this Friday December 30th at the Historic Iao Theater with William Shatner and special guest Brian Evans live!  William Shatner, best known for his role as Captain Kirk on Star Trek, will be entertaining the crowd with stories from his own life.  Brian Evans, and other musical guests, will be performing songs that have earned him over 30 million youtube views! Count down to the New Year on Saturday December 31st at the Ritz Carlton Kapalua with live music provided by Eric Gilliom. Recover New Years Day at the Cane and Canoe Bar in Lahaina for Sunday Brunch. Executive Chef David Viviano will be featuring an enhanced breakfast menu.  Live jazz music will be performed to enhance your dining experience. Menu favorites including Chicken and Waffles, Steak and Eggs, Shrimp and Grits along with new brunch selections!  For those 21 years and older, you may want to sample the build your own Bloody Mary bar! Events This Weekend!

Happening now on various nights through December 28th, Maui Film Festival: First Light. Come and enjoy great cinema with screenings of various movies on different days. Don’t worry about having a meal before hand.  Each showing night will offer a different menu option with a variety of food items available for purchase.  This event takes place at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center.  To view the movie selection as well as menu items and preview trailers visit their website here.

Friday December 23rd is Art Night In Lahaina Town.  This free event showcases artists in action throughout dozens of art galleries in Lahaina from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.  This is a public event and refreshments are available.  You can pick up a map of participating galleries at the Lahaina Visitors Center open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm daily.

Going on now through Christmas The Holiday Express sugar cane train runs twice nightly at 6:30 pm and 8:00 pm. Boarding begins 30 minutes prior to train departure with each excursion running 45 minutes.  Enjoy the decorated train, caroling, and maybe even a visit from Santa! Your Weekend Events!

Friday December 16th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm its Makawao 3rd Friday! This Friday come enjoy the street party and some holiday specials!  Halo salon will be offering $20 haircuts, Bootzie will be showing their new fall line with a discount for the evening, and Monkeypod Art Studio will be having craft activities in the kieki zone.  Music, food, and line dancing will also be happening throughout the evening.  For more information visit the Maui Fridays website.

Moonlit movies at Sugar Beach Events presents a free screening of ‘National Lampoons Christmas Vacation’ this Saturday December 17th!  Doors open at 6:00 pm and the movie will begin at 6:30 pm.  Popcorn, food, and drinks will be available for purchase.  Be sure to bring a beach chair and blanket! Rebelution-the Falling into Place Hawaii Tour-with special guests Pepper and New Kingston is this Sunday December 18th at the Yokouchi Pavillion & Courtyard.  Show starts at 6:00 pm and gates will open at 4:30 pm. The California reggae band has recorded 11 new tracks coming off their #1 Billboard Reggae hit Count Me In. Food items will also be available for purchase. Tis the season!  The Hansen Ohana prides itself on community involvement. Each holiday season their annual toy drive provides hundreds of gifts for Maui children that would otherwise not be celebrating the holidays.  From infants to teenagers, the toy drive helps provide gifts and gift cards for all ages.  Your gift or contribution is greatly appreciated!
