Sunstone Hotel Investors have entered into an agreement with Wailea Beach Marriott to purchase the luxury resort for a net price of $325.7 million. Sunstone Hotel Investors plan to renovate during 2015 and 2016. CEO Ken Cruse feels the Wailea Beach Marriott is one of the most attractive leisure destinations in the U.S.

The 33rd annual Kapalua Wine and Food Festival is happening now! Enjoy not only fine wine but fine foods as well. The 15th annual Maui Film Festival kicks off this Wednesday June 4th and runs until Sunday June 8th. The festival will host award ceremonies on certain days as well as screenings of films, and delicious culinary events at various locations. Film festival line up information is available here.
