What’s Happening This Weekend

This Friday August 19th from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm Maui Calls: Celebrating Vintage Hawaiian Fashion will take place at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center.  Enjoy delicious Maui food paired with premium wines.  This fundraising gala will feature live and silent auctions, live music, and dancing!  This event is a 21 years and older.  To view more information on this event including ticket pricing view the Maui Arts & Cultural Center page here.

Saturday August 20th from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm The Hana Cultural Center presents  A Taste of Hana.  Entrees will be served from some of Hana’s favorite chefs.  Lots of activities for everyone including arts and crafts, a petting zoo, local organic produce, and much more!  This event will take place at the Hana Ranch Store Fairgrounds.  More information available via the Hana Cultural Center.

Free entertainment Sunday at the Queen Kaahumanu Center for Maui Made Sundays.  This event runs from 9:15 am to 5:00 pm.  Maui made products will be showcased and live music throughout the day.  Information for this event as well as vendor applications for those wishing to participate available here.

This Weekend’s Events

Friday July 29th at Mulligan’s On The Blue come to celebrate Soul Kitchen’s 4th Birthday at their CD Fundraiser event.  Soul Kitchen is currently working on an original CD of music.  Donating just $10 to this event can help with production costs!  This event will run from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  Special guests and prizes throughout the evening.  Mulligan’s On The Blue website has more information.

Maui Science center is having a Winter Wonderland event on Saturday July 30th  at the Maui Harbor Shops in Wailuku.  All day admission is $8 with children under 2 free!  This family friendly event is great for all ages.  Build a snowman,  make an igloo, or just come to explore!  Proceeds from this event will go to the planning and development of the Maui Science Center.  The Maui Science Center website has information on this event as well as other ways you can help!

Also starting on Saturday July 30th, Rotary clubs of Maui will be having their 10th consecutive school supply drive.  This Saturday business donation locations are Longs locations in Kihei, Pukalani, and Maui Lani, Walmart, Kmart, Lahaina Cannery Mall entrance near Longs, and OfficeMax in Lahaina.  On Sunday Longs in Pukalani and Lahaina Cannery Mall entrance near Longs will be doing donations.  The rotary will hand out school supply wish lists and any patrons who wish to purchase items for donating can do so.  Your community support is greatly appreciated.

Events This Weekend

This Friday, July 8th join Marc Takahe in SpiritDance.  The method of this dance is learning to move from the inside out.  Participants are encouraged to use inner expression in their outer dance.  Located at The Studio Maui, cost to join is only $15.00!  For more information or to register visit The Studio Maui website.

Seth Grabel from the hit television show America’s Got Talent will be performing this Saturday July 9th at the Maui Theatre in Lahaina at 7:00 pm.  Seth is a highly sought after performer who has appeared on such major networks as ABC, Extra, and Bravo.  To purchase tickets visit the Maui Theatre website here.

Happy 4th Of July!

Happening This Weekend….

This Friday June 24th is Art Night in Lahaina Town.  Special gallery shows, artists in action, and refreshments all free of charge.  The Lahaina Visitors Center has a map of participating galleries.  This is a recurring event that takes place each week on Friday!  Come enjoy from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

The Reggae Summit Hawaii tour will be taking place at The Maui Tropical Plantation on Saturday June 25th.  Doors open at 4:00 pm.
