The annual Fall Harvest Festival in Makawao is this coming Sunday, October 20th at 9 a.m. There will be great food, craft fair & farmer’s market, pony rides, petting zoo, haunted house, keiki Halloween costume contest (ages 0 – 12), etc. Admission is free. August was a month for increases. Visitor arrivals increased 2.8%. Not only did more visitor choose Maui to vacation, they stayed longer too! Maui is up over 9% for 2013 in visitor spending.
