Makawao Town Party Tomorrow

We Heart Makawao! Tomorrow night, Friday February 15th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm the first Friday town party is being held in Makawao.

Baldwin Avenue will be closed beginning at 5:15 pm. This rain or shine event will include live entertainment, food trucks, booths will local arts and craft, plus plenty of shopping and restaurants participating!

On the main stage from 6:00 pm to 7:15 pm will be Benny Uyetake. Arlie-Avery Asiu will take over from 7:15 pm to 8:45 pm. Keiki Zone will include Melissa Bruck’s face painting and Christalyne’s balloon twisting!

Free parking available in the Makawao Municipal Parking Lot, Makawao Base yard, and 2 additional lots on Brewer Road. This is a great family friendly community event!

Food Is Love

Kaanapali Beach Hotel is having a special buffet dinner to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Their award winning Chef will be featuring hand carved prime rib, seafood, assorted sushi, fresh pasta, lamb chops, and a wide variety of sweets!  Dinner includes a glass of champagne or wine and a long stemmed rose!

Buffet time runs from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Reservations are required!

World Whale Film Festival

The annual World Whale Film Festival is taking place tomorrow, Friday February 8th at the Iao Theater in Wailuku. The event time is from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The theme for 2019 is “inspiring ocean health through waves of change.”

Beginning at 5:00 pm informational booths will be on hand in the courtyard next to the theater. Those interested in eating beforehand can dine at HI Thai Food Truck. Event guests will receive a 20% discount.

Doors will open at 5:30 pm with the film scheduled to start at 6:15 pm. Intermission with snacks available for purchase will be at 7:30 pm. Upon the film’s conclusion at 9:00 pm, Wai Bar is hosting a private festival social for those who attended the film.
