Wailuku 1st Friday January 4th

Happening this Friday January 4th, its 1st Friday in Wailuku on Market Street! Street closures will begin at 5:30, with the event running from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Live entertainment provided by Leo Mana and Nevah Too Late. Handmade crafts from local artisans will be showcased. Food from restaurants including Gianotto’s Pizza, 808 on Main, Asian Star, King’s BBQ and many others to choose from!

Free parking available at the Maui Medical Group lot. This is a free family friendly event and a great way to support the local community!

New Years Eve Celebrations

Happy New Year! If you are still undecided about what to do for your New Years Eve celebration, here are some options to help you finalize your plans.

Down The Hatch in Lahaina will be hosting a New Years Eve celebration with a speakeasy theme. Dress up in your 1920’s outfit and enjoy two full bars and a live DJ! The night will start at 8:30 pm and end around 2:00 am.

Also in Lahaina, Fleetwoods on Front Street Mick Fleetwood & The Island Rumors Band will be hosting a celebration that will include opening band Ron Artis II and The Truth. Later in the evening DJ ILLZ performing a rooftop dance set.

Fireworks will be set off at two locations beginning at approximately 11:59 pm. The offshore barge at the Grand Wailea Resort, and the Four Seasons Resort Lana’i.

Steven Tyler Tonight at Maui Arts & Cultural Center

Steven Tyler will be performing tonight, Thursday December 27th at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center starting at 7:00 pm. Gates are scheduled to open at 5:30 pm.

The award-winning singer and songwriter will be performing with his touring band, The Loving Mary Band. As both a solo artist and member of the legendary rock band Aerosmith, Tyler has sold over 150 million records and won multiple awards including Grammy Awards, American Music Awards, and Billboard Music Awards.

An Acoustic Evening With The Simmons

Tomorrow, Friday December 21st, and Saturday December 22nd, enjoy an evening of acoustic music with Pat Simmons Sr. and Pat Simmons Jr. Both evenings starts at 7:30 pm at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s McCoy Studio Theater.

Pat Simmons Sr. is an original member of the Doobie Brothers. The music of the Doobie Brothers is known for connecting multiple generations listening to the same music. Pat Simmons Jr. grew up with music in his life and now enjoys the ability to be able to tour with his dad.

Pat Simmons Jr. started his music career as a teen. He eventually was an opening act for the Doobie Brothers and other well-known artists. When Pat Simmons Jr. isn’t touring, he spends time with his wife and son on the family farm running a small-scale organic restoration/farm project.

Aloha Lahaina Holiday Parade

This Saturday, December 22nd, the third annual Aloha Lahaina Christmas Parade will take place in downtown Lahaina starting at 10:00 am. The parade route runs from the corner of Papalaua and Front streets and concludes at Banyan Tree Park.

Participants in the parade include the Maui Fire Department, Lahainaluna High Marching Band, Rotary Club of Lahaina, Mayor Alan Arakawa, and pastor Laki Kaahumanu as Hawaiian Santa. The parade will honor the state championship teams from Lahainaluna High School.

Please be advised Front Street will be closed from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm for the parade.
