Halloween Activities on Maui
Halloween on Maui is one of the best events to be on Island for. Get ready for Halloween in Lahaina Friday October 31! Lots of fun with plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy.
Annual Keiki Halloween Costume Parade starts at 4:30 pm on Front Street. All Maui keiki are invited to participate. Each participant will receive a ribbon and bag of goodies! The costume contest will be held at Banyan Tree Park from 7:00 pm-9:00 pm. Sign up to join in the costume contest at Pioneer Inn retail store beginning at 6:00 pm. Dance and enjoy the music during the costume contest from 6:30 pm-9:30 pm. Park will close at 10:00 pm.
Beginning at 6:00 pm live entertainment in Campbell Park with The Haiku Hillbilly’s. Keiki activities including face painting and various photo opportunities. Make sure to get your official Halloween In Lahaina 2014 t-Shirt. Campbell Park will close at 10:00 pm.
Street closures will be enforced from Baker Street to Prison Street and on Front Street from 3:30 to midnight. No parking will be allowed from 3:30 to midnight. There will be shuttle transportation available from War Memorial Parking Lot and Kihei Aquatic Center Parking Lot. Tickets for the shuttle will be on sale starting October 20th for $5.00 each way cash only. Shuttles will be first come first serve. For some, celebrating Halloween on one night just isn’t enough! For the month of October, Maui Paintball offers Haunted Hayrides on Friday and Saturday nights from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Ride the Hayride and shoot Zombies, Ghouls, and Goblins! If you’re up for a monster challenge, try the Zombie Run. The Zombie Run is a half-mile obstacle course packed with Monsters! Space is limited so be sure to pre-register!
Some would rather have a good laugh then a good fright this Halloween. Never fear, Maui Comedy Festival is here! Tickets are on sale for the festival that runs from October 30th to November 2nd. Events are scheduled at different locations so be sure to check the Maui Comedy Festival website here for lineup, ticket information, and venue locations!

Festivals Of Aloha Events This Weekend!
This weekend there are many options for celebrating by attending Aloha Events! If you have purchased your Maui Nui Style official Festivals of Aloha ribbon, you may receive discounted admission to many events!
This Aloha Friday September 26, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm entertainment for keiki, art, music, and hula at the Queen Ka’ahumanu Center.
Saturday September 27 doors will open at 6:00 pm at the Andaz Wailea for the 13th annual Richard Hoopii Leo Kie Kie Falsetto competition. Men will be showcasing their high voices, an art that began back when women were not allowed to sing in public. Expect special surprise guests!
Sunday September 28 the Falsetto winners will be singing on the main stage at the Banyan Tree Park in Lahaina Town from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. All day entertainment and crafts on Sunday. This event is open to the public and free of charge!

Meteor Showers Visible After Tonights Supermoon
Tonight is the expected night for the brightest supermoon of the season according to NASA. This moon will be 14% closer and 30% brighter then any other moon this year. The supermoon of tonight, August 10th, kicks off three days of heightened meteor shower activity.
Early pre-dawn mornings are ideal for viewing shower activity, known as Perseid, on August 11th, 12th, and 13th. If clouds are disrupting your view, you can actually listen to Perseid on spaceweatherradio.com. Golfing on Maui
For the novice golfer, or the expert driver, Maui has some of the most beautiful golf courses to accommodate any level of play. Some of the courses have made “World Bests” lists.
Kapalua Golf is the home of the PGA Tours Hyundai Tournament of Champions. Continually ranked the number 1 course in Hawaii, this is a course the family can get involved in. Clinics are available for the ladies, as well as weekly keiki clinics. The Kapalua Golf Academy is constantly ranked in the top 25 golf school by Golf Magazine. After a day of golf most will have worked up an appetite! Dining options are available offering a variety of Hawaii cuisine with gorgeous views!
Golfing at Wailea Golf Club gives you options for three different courses. The Emerald course has earned Wailea Golf the Top Fairways Award for the most women-friendly club. Special packages available for stay and play promotions. Whether hitting the courses, shopping the pro shop, or dining at one of the fabulous eateries your sure to have a fun-filled day or even week!
If you need a little cooling down, but still want to hit the courses, Pukalani Country Club in Upcountry is the golf course you’re looking for. Built at 1,100 feet elevation on the dormant Haleakala volcano , the meaning of Pukalani “Entrance to Heaven” is compelling. The country club’s scenic greenery is set on approximately 160 acres.
The Dunes at Maui Lani is considered one of the best kept secret golf courses. The Dunes will be hosting the Maui Open this November. With its special link design, the course can present some very challenging holes. Special anniversary rates now through December as well as Kama’aina rates. Events for small and larger groups are also available.
