Hawaii Small Business Conference

On May 8th and May 9th the 3rd annual Hawaii Small Business Conference will take place at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center.

Anyone interested in increasing their business knowledge, expanding their professional network, whether they are business owners, managers or entrepreneurs are encouraged to attend.

Wednesday presentations will include a full day workshop beginning at 8:00 am and running until 5:00 pm. On the agenda topics include success planning, tax strategies, video marketing, technology and much more. Thursday will have workshops on a parallel schedule running from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Topics include Tools to Grow my Community and Business, Essential Systems for Small Business Success, and Intellectual Property and Branding.

This event is presented by the Maui Economic Development Board with the support of the County of Maui Office of Economic Development.

8th Annual Paddle Imua

This Saturday May 4th, the 8th Annual Paddle Imua will take place. The benefit race supports the Imua Family Services Camp Imua. The camp program is designed for children of school age with disabilities and special needs. These children will be able to attend a week long recreational camp program.

The Hawaii Canoe Club in Kahului will host the Ohana Festival. The festival features food trucks, booths, dancing, and a keiki zone. The Ohana Festival will run from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Awards ceremony is scheduled for 4:30 pm. Come support the racers as they cross the finish line for a good cause!

This Friday, Kihei Fourth Friday Town Party

This Friday the town party will be happening in Kihei from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Azeka Shopping Center! The theme for this Friday’s party is Heart & Soul. Free parking available one block away!

Activities for keiki include, face painting, 4 Kids Quick Science, Maui’s Famous Spider Jump, hula hooping and much more! Teens will enjoy DJ Sonny and Friends of Classic Cars and Hot Rods.

Food booths and trucks serving local favorites include Al’s BBQ Pit, Maui Samosas, Maui Empanadas, Z-Man’s Kitchen, plus many others. Azeka shopping center also has a wide variety of eateries including Panda Express, Peggy Sue’s, Maui Pie,  and Coconut’s Fish Cafe. There is sure to be something to please everyone!

If the food options aren’t enough the musical entertainment will get your feet moving! On the Main Stage  Andrew & Jay Molina and the Dancing Strings, Elua Kane, and Pat Simmons Jr. Playing in the food court will be Curtis Williams.

Hai’ku Ho’olaule’a & Flower Festival

This Saturday, April 27th at the Haiku Elementary School, the 26th Annual Haiku Ho’olaule’a and Flower Festival will be happening. The festival will benefit Ha’iku Elementary School, Haiku Community Association and Boys & Girls Club. This event is free from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm!

A new interactive Keiki Zone with games, activities, and newly added Digital Bus Maui plus a Mobile Science and Technology Education Library for a hands on adventure! Carnival games and face painting guarantee there is something for everyone to enjoy!

Live music from talented local performers will be playing throughout the day. Food trucks from all over Maui will be serving popular food dishes. Maui’s largest silent auction will provide you with great deals and gift certificates! Come enjoy this family friendly event while supporting the keiki of Haiku!
