This weekend the MayJah RayJay music festival will be happening. This two-day concert event features some island reggae music from artists such as Tarrus Riley, Sons of Zion, Common Kings, Spawnbreezie, just to name a few. Pricing varies depending on ticket option. Event will be held at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. Concert starts at 6:00 pm, with doors opening at 5:00 pm. Saturday the Upcountry Farmers Market will be from 7:00 am to 11:00 am at the Kulamalu Town Center. Yummy locally grown foods for purchase including organic produce, coconuts, fresh fish, and raw and vegan foods. The Upcounty Farmers Market has over 40 local farmers supplying food and produce. Saturday Night at the Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort at Pulehu, is having the “Rum Scrum Cocktail Contest”. This contest benefits the Maui Culinary Academy. The winner of the contest will have their cocktail featured on the Westin Kaanapali’s menu. There are 4 finalists in the running. The winner will be announced on Saturday night.
