Streetlight Cadence Plays At McCoy Studio Theatre

Alternative folk pop sensation Streetlight Cadence will be performing at McCoy Studio Theater tomorrow, Friday, June 28th at 7:30 pm.

The band got their start in 2010 in Honolulu playing for tourists. Their live performances show their enormous love for music. Streetlight Cadence is a family friendly group whose music is enjoyed by fans of all ages.

Streetlight Cadence has won two successive Na Hoku Hanohano Awards for Alternative Album of the Year as well as multiple Battle of the Band Competitions. Now based in Los Angeles, the band continues to play in both conventional and non-conventional concerts.

Cash only food menu will be available in the McCoy Courtyard before the show starting at 5:30 pm.

Comedy Night At Pro Arts

This Friday June 28th its comedy night at Pro Arts in Kihei. Show time starts at 7:30 pm with doors opening at 7:00 pm. Ticket price is $15 and includes pizza and non-alcoholic beverage.

Headlining is Mike Faverman. Faverman has been touring and performing since 1999. He has performed in clubs, colleges and various theaters throughout the country. Mike has appeared on numerous television shows and movies including Sullivan and Sons, Boston Legal, She and I, and Psychic Killers.

Also performing on Friday night are Jose Dynamite, Cool Hand Luke, and Derek Reimers. This is a 21 and over event.

Na Palapalai Performing At Maui Arts & Cultural Center

This Friday, June 21st, Na Palapalai will be celebrating their reunion with a music and hula celebration. No tickets necessary for this free event!

Those planning to attend should bring mats, blankets, and/or low back chairs for lawn sitting. Seats will be available for kunpuna. Na Palapalai merchandise will be available for purchase including shirts, CDs, and jewelry!

Food and beverages also available to purchase from food trucks such as Three’s Bar & Grill, Kalei’s Lunch Wagon, Just Put In, and Tutti Frutti.

Show time is scheduled for 7:00 pm with gates opening at 6:00 pm. Bring family and friends to a fun musical evening!

Reminder: Maui Film Festival

Reminder, the Maui Film Festival begins tomorrow! The festival is one of Maui’s premier events held at various locations throughout Maui including the Wailea Resort and the Celestial Cinema.

In the evening during the festival, a culinary event is held. The launch party takes place at the Grand Wailea Wednesday, June 12th with the Taste of Summer. Guests must be 21 and over to attend. Cocktails will be paired with with tastey bites! Purchasing tickets to Taste of Summer also grants you access for back to back premieres that evening.

Taste of Chocolate is held at the Four Seasons Resort on Thursday, June 13th. This is a dress to impress event for guests 21 and over that is all about delicious sweet treats! Tickets for Taste of Chocolate also includes two premiere’s plus activities at the Celestial Cinema that evening.

Taste of Wailea on Saturday June 15th, is the best of the best from Wailea chef’s and is held at the Wailea Golf Academy. Chef’s will be serving up their mouthwatering specialties. This is also a 21 and over event that will include two premier admission tickets at Celestial Cinema for that evening.

The movies playing during the festival at Celestial Cinema include True Hawaii, The Magic Beneath Us, Stuffed, Wild Rose, Bottom Of The 9th, The Farewell, Pavarotti, Paige, This Excellent Life, and Echo In The Canyon. Playing at Castle Theater are One, Gay Chorus Deep South, Becoming Nobody, Cracked Up, Well Groomed, CRSHD, Botero, and We Rise Up.
