New Head Of School for Seabury

After an eight-month process that evaluated more than 72 applicants globally, Seabury Hall has named Nicholas Rodriguez as its next head of school. On July 1, Rodriguez, who is now the head of school of Tampa, Florida’s Corbett Preparatory School, will take over for Maureen Madden, who held the position for six years. Rodriguez has a solid experience in education, having held leadership positions at several schools and earned degrees from Greenville University and the University of South Florida. He is commended for his commitment to creativity, teamwork, and creating a positive school climate. Rodriguez’s ability to align with the school’s vision and values is something that Seabury Hall executives and its board are confident will usher in an exciting new chapter for the institution.

Tonight At Seabury Hall!

Celebrate the season at the annual Seabury Hall-iday tonight, December 6th 7:00 pm, with free admission and parking at Oskie Rice Arena. Enjoy student-created decorations, holiday activities, and festive highlights like the lighting of a 20-ft. Christmas tree, photos with Santa and The Grinch, and pop-up performances. Bring a new, unwrapped toy for Maui United Way’s Toy Drive and make this magical evening even more meaningful! Seabury Hall is located at 305 Meha Rd. Makawao.

Seabury Hall Craft Fair

On Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 9 am to 3 pm, Seabury Hall will have its yearly Craft Fair at its picturesque Makawao campus. The event will include a range of attractions like artist and crafter booths, a silent auction, live entertainment, and a variety of food options. While adults can peruse a large assortment of plants, flowers, and leis, children can enjoy attractions like keiki games, bounce castles, a waterslide, and pony rides. Pets are not permitted, and admission is $10 for adults and free for children under 12. Premium and free parking are both available. As the school’s biggest fundraiser, Seabury Hall’s financial aid programs enable worthy students to receive a top-notch education that prepares them for college.

Six Awarded Scholarships At Seabury Hall

Congratulations to the six Class of 2019 recipients of the Rising Senior Scholarship awards at Seabury Hall. The annual Seabury Hall Golf Tournament helps to generate the funds awarded for the scholarships as well as fund the athletic program.

Lucy Dustman, Lona Girardin, Jessica Griffiths, Kalena Pfaeltzer, Taylor-Ann Takatani, and Bryce Tarpey are the recipients for 2019. Criteria for receiving the honor are students who display leadership, serve their community, and have academic potential.

The next Seabury Hall Golf Tournament is scheduled to take place on September 8th at the Wailea Emerald Course.

Seabury Hall Craft Fair

This Saturday, May 12th, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm the 45th annual Seabury Hall Craft Fair is taking place. Location is 485 Olinda Road, Makawao. Adult entry is $5, children under 12 are free.

This event is held each year the day before Mothers Day. There are over 100 artists and crafters with unique items that make the perfect gift for mom or someone special. In addition there will be live entertainment, a silent auction, rummage sale, games and pony rides, a water slide, and food!
