Piilani Highway is open for four-wheel drive vehicles. Road crews have repaired the area between Kaupo and Kipahulu. Heavy rains caused the closure. Please use caution in the area, the road is rough and unpaved. To read the entire article via Maui News here.

For those of you who travel along Piilani Highway, please note! During the construction the speed limit has now been reduced from 40 mph to 30 mph. This is a temporary reduction that will be effect for the next 6 to 8 weeks.
Molulele Airlines makes unscheduled landing on a small 2 lane Piilani Highway. No damage to anyone or anything. Engine trouble. Amazing!
