Off the shore of Molokini was the first whale sighting for the 2013 season was reported. Pacific Whale Foundation reported the sighting on Saturday at approximately 7:36 am. The return of the whales is right on schedule. Early sightings usually occur at the beginning of October with an increase in November and December. Whale watching is a popular tourist attraction.
