Type “Lahaina Strong Fundraiser” in the search bar on Facebook for more information. Mahalo to the many people who have been watching our beach cam and sending prayers and well wishes. Continued Hurricane Lane Update

A quick overview of what is happening on Maui:

The leeward side of the Island continues to be calm.  We have some rain but nothing torrential.

Upcountry suffered trees down and electricity down in the area. Strong winds and some rain.

West side, Launiupoko has a huge fire with evacuation in effect.  Thank goodness the rain is heading their way to help fight the fire.

Thanks for your support.  Continue watching our beachcam and we’ll do our best to keep the information up on our Blog Site on www.MauiRealEstate.net

Hurricane Lane Update

Closures for Wednesday due to Hurricane Lane include all public schools, Haleakala National Park, state and county parks and trails, University of Hawaii Maui College, and most county offices and services.

After school practices and sporting events have been cancelled as well starting today and throughout the weekend. Normal activity should hopefully resume on Monday. County office closures effected by Hurricane Lane include DMV, Real Property Tax Offices, and senior services. These too should hopefully reopen and resume normal activity Monday. Last trash pick up will be today until further notice.

Residents and visitors should not plan to travel at this time. Please go to www.mauicounty.gov  for storm updates and information.
