Seabury Hall Craft Fair

This Saturday, May 12th, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm the 45th annual Seabury Hall Craft Fair is taking place. Location is 485 Olinda Road, Makawao. Adult entry is $5, children under 12 are free.

This event is held each year the day before Mothers Day. There are over 100 artists and crafters with unique items that make the perfect gift for mom or someone special. In addition there will be live entertainment, a silent auction, rummage sale, games and pony rides, a water slide, and food!

Kick off your Mother’s Day celebration with this fun family event!

Spring Craft Fair

Tomorrow, Sunday May 6th, the House Mart/Ben Franklin Spring Craft Fair will be taking place at the Queen Ka’ahumanu Shopping Center. Free admission to this event scheduled  to begin at 9:00 am and run until 2:00 pm.

This is a great opportunity to support local crafters and find that unique gift. Mother’s Day is only a week away!

The craft fair will be located on the first floor of the parking structure next to Macy’s. Happy shopping!

Star Trek Creator’s Son To Build In Kaanapali

Rod Roddenberry, son of Star Trek Creator Gene Roddenberry, has submitted for approval plans for a nearly 8,000 square foot home near Kahekili Beach Park.

The proposed home will include a garage, ohana unit, infinity pool, and spa.  Maui Planning Commission will have to approve a special management area permit at a later date.

Rod Roddenberry founded the Roddenberry Dive Team in 2010. The purpose is to explore, educate, and preserve the environment. To date Roddenberry has been involved in over 1,00o dives!

Hopes are to have permits available between September and October this year. The project is expected to take approximately two years to build.

2018 Teen Expo

This Friday May 4th starting at 5:00 pm at the Queen Ka’ahumanu Center is the 7th Annual 2018 Teen Expo. The entertainment for this event will be provided by Nuff Sedd an MC Mackie Mac.

Teen Expo is sponsored by the County of Maui, Maui Coalition for Drug Free Youth, Queen Ka’ahumanu Center and Boys & Girls Club of Maui.

Along with entertainment there will be free giveaways, prizes, and a photo booth. This is a free event!

Maui Youth Orchestra

On Aprill 22nd beginning at 3:00 pm, the Maui Youth Philharmonic Orchestra will be performing their Spring concert at the Baldwin High School Auditorium.

Students from 11 public schools, 4 private schools, and one home schooled will be performing. Grades range from second grade through twelfth. They will be performing using staring, woodwind, brass, and percussion instruments.

The Philharmonic Orchestra is conducted by Iolani Yamashiro-Rahimi. Works from greats such as Holst, Beethoven, Johann Strauss, among others will be on the playlist. This is a free event and open to the public!
