Kick off the weekend Friday night August 7th with the Huliau Food and Film Festival. From 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm this festival features local chefs and films made by students. The event takes place at Seabury Hall on the lower lawn. 200 tickets will be available for those 21 years of age and older. Tickets are priced at $85.00. On Saturday August 8th it’s family day at Hui Noeau. Approximately 250 of Maui’s talented youth artist with be showcased at this event. This event runs from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Hui Noeau Visual Arts Center. Bring the entire family to this free event. There will be a bake sale, live glass blowing, face painting, and hands on workshop demonstrations. The Hui Noeau website has information on this event as well as future events!
On Sunday August 9th, the Italian American Club will be hosting its 21st annual picnic event. from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. The event will take place at Villa Vitale, 45 Welina Place, Makawao in Kula. Come enjoy Italian cuisine and Italian conversation. Those attending are encouraged to participate in the meatball cook-off event! The picnic is a family affair all are welcome!
