Today Howard Dicus announced during his Business Report that the Historic Dillingham Ranch consisting of approximately 2,700 aces of ranch land and 19 acres of oceanfront land has been sold for $36.5M to an undisclosed buyer. It has been stated that the property will continue to be utilized as a working ranch.

Whale Count
Volunteers from the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary Ocean Count and Pacific Whale Foundation’s Great Whale Count recorded 997 whale sightings on four Hawaiian islands on Saturday. During the day’s count, a total of 596 whales were spotted on Maui, 232 on Oahu, 105 on Hawaii island, and 64 on Kauai. Three times a year, during the height of whale season, the counts are conducted.

Traffic Light Moving Forward
The corner of Okolani and Piilani will finally be getting a traffic light. Okolani Drive will close first to Piilani Northbound and Southbound traffic. That will be Phase 1. Phase 2 Mikioi Place will close for Southbound and Northbound access. The project is estimated to take approximately 3 months. Work is scheduled to begin on February 27th.
