Maui Agriculture Fair

The Agricultural Fair was a blast! These images are just a small sample of the numerous fascinating events covered this year. The animal auction was fascinating, with Goodfellow placing the winning offer of $7.00 per pound on the steer in the images. What matters most in relation to the 4-H events? Our Maui children are taught how to raise livestock and grow a variety of foods. It’s lovely to watch them develop, pick up knowledge, and become valuable resources for our island.

New EV App

Smart Charge Hawaii, a mobile app pilot program for electric vehicle (EV) drivers in Maui County and neighboring islands, is being introduced by Hawaiian Electric and ev.energy. The app’s objectives include maximizing EV charging sessions, directing future charging rates and programs, and advancing green energy. Participants can track charging expenses, earn rewards, and help Hawaii achieve its zero-emission objectives. The Ulupono Initiative provided funding for the program, which collaborates with the Drive Electric Hawaii network.
