The proposed West Maui Hospital may become a reality after all. The proposed facility would provide possibly over 200 jobs for the Maui community. Maui residents are in need of more medical care options with our population increasing. Developers are confident that all obstacles can be overcome and preliminary development could begin next year. The season is upon us. The whales are returning to the coast on Maui. The season for whale sightings runs from November through May. The possibility of whale sightings is a huge draw for tourists to our beautiful island. Approximately 2 miles off of Lahaina, known as one of the best areas to spot the whales, was where the spotting occurred.
