  1. A friendly reminder – the camera location is great, but your lens needs cleaning – thank you from a main lander !!

  2. why are you excited? For Maui residents it means more traffic, more pressure on our already fragile inshore ecosystem. (opihi, lobster, limu, etc.) For our local business’s it means decreased revenue, (Oahu residents are not coming to Maui to go shopping, but Maui residents will be headed for ala moana, pearlridge, kahala mall. oahu residents will be headed for our beaches with their gill nets, opihi knives, tents and their surfboards. Our already congested harbor will bet more congested, young bros and matson will raise their rates to compensate for loss time due to increased man hours that will occur when forced it to a confined work area, fuel prices will escalate as fuel barges will have to wait offshore for a open harbor, increasing the tug and tows operating expense. Pier 2 (where it will land) is close to being condemned, tugs and barges will not even use the area where the superferry will land. throw in a few more million of tax payers money to improve that. Airlines will suffer decreased usage resulting in higher fares for those who need to travel in a timely fashion, and possibly lay offs. experts say that in our normal strong trades the ferry will take a beating crossing our rough channels and we know that the Alenuehaha is the roughest channel in the world. So after the ferry comes and goes what will we have gained? love your cam. aloha roscoe
